Want to pray but don’t know how or even where to start? Not sure that anyone is even listening?
Would you like to connect with the ancient traditions of spirituality but can’t seem to find your way through the maze of religion and rules?
FreshPrayer is a collection of audio recordings that you can take with you wherever you go to experience the structure and simplicity of the monastic habit of the Daily Office of Morning Prayer from the Anglican Book of Common Prayer and The Message version of the Bible. You can experience FreshPrayer wherever you are – car, cubicle or classroom.
FreshPrayer stays fresh by changing the resource for the prayers choosing from the wealth of resources available across time and geography
Instead of the Book of Common Prayer , used during Lent and Easter (prayers still available online), currently we’ll be using Common Worship and Common Worship:Daily Prayer from the Church of England. Scripture readings are from either the NRSV or Message as noted within the audio. The text for many of the readings can be found on the Church of England website HERE.
New prayers will be added regularly, as well as the complete #Monthly Psalter (read with from both The Message – a contemporary paraphrase and the New Revised Standard Version). Look on the right sidebar to subscribe to blog updates and receive #FreshPrayer automatically in your inbox.
